Tuning, Bryan

Hello My Name Is...

Mr. Tuning

I grew up in Churchville, just outside of Staunton. I attended Augusta County Public Schools and graduated in 2007 from Buffalo Gap High School. My dream has always been to be a teacher. To this day there is nothing I would rather do. With his career goal in mind, I attended Liberty University beginning in the fall of 2007. I graduated in 2011 with my Bachelor's degree in Social Science and Teacher Certification.

As I now enter my eighth year of teaching, I have taught all grades from 5th grade through 12th grade and a variety of subjects.

I love learning and teaching so much that I decided to return to school and pursue a master's degree. After two years of graduate school, I graduated in 2016 from Liberty University with a Master's of Education in Teaching and Learning, with a concentration in history.

I joined Buena Vista City Public Schools in 2017 as the sixth grade English teacher, which I enjoyed tremendously. Here at the beginning of the 2018-2019 school year, I am excited to return to the Parry McCluer High School faculty as a science and social studies teacher.

In my spare time, I enjoy a variety of activities. I enjoy cooking, reading, and playing tennis. I also enjoy traveling, especially overseas. I have had the privilege of traveling throughout Europe including Ireland, Wales, England, Scotland, Italy, Greece, and Turkey.
