Course Description

Art I emphasizes the development of attitudes concerning art. Basic skills and an understanding of techniques with various media are stressed. Students develop concepts of design which are demonstrated through class assignments. Students will develop skills in drawing, sculpture, painting, printmaking, journal keeping, and in 2D mixed media, as well as an awareness of their own capabilities and limitations. Responsibility toward materials, equipment and art is stressed
